How Generic Fucidin Works

After topical application, fusidic acid penetrates the infected skin and targets susceptible bacteria. By blocking protein synthesis, it prevents bacteria from growing and multiplying.

Without the ability to produce proteins necessary for survival, the bacteria stop multiplying and eventually die. This allows the immune system to clear the infection and the skin to heal.
