- Slows progression of pulmonary fibrosis
- Reduces decline in lung function (FVC)
- Effective in multiple fibrosing ILDs
How Generic Ofev Works
After oral administration, nintedanib inhibits multiple tyrosine kinases that are involved in signaling pathways responsible for fibrosis. These include growth factor receptors that stimulate fibroblast activity.
By blocking these pathways, nintedanib reduces fibroblast proliferation, migration, and transformation. This slows down the progression of lung scarring and helps preserve lung function in fibrotic lung diseases.
