How Generic Actos Works

Generic Actos improves how the body responds to insulin rather than increasing insulin secretion. This makes it useful in patients with significant insulin resistance.

Its glucose-lowering effect develops gradually over several weeks, but it provides durable glycemic control. Actos is often combined with metformin, sulfonylureas, or insulin.
